About me...

Hi, thanks for visiting my website. You could have gone anywhere on the internet you wanted, but you came here. How exciting!

My name is Chad Puschel and I am the founder of Weights & Plates - Personal Wellness. Unlike people who choose to enter the health and wellness field, the health and wellness field, in a way, chose me.

My personal wellness journey began in 2005. Fresh from graduating college, with a new job under my belt, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis a chronic, unpredictable, (for now) incurable, and debilitating disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the body and the brain.

After a solely conventional medicine approach of intravenous steroids and daily injections provided little improvement, I took control of my own health.

In 2008, I began working as a personal trainer at one of the busiest gyms in south Jersey. Working with top-level trainers, I improved my training techniques; learning to educate and coach a wide range of individuals from semi-professional athletes to weekend warriors and expecting mothers.

The final (and most important) piece of the puzzle was added in 2016 after I received a Holistic Nutrition Certification from the AFPA (American Fitness Professionals & Associates). I could now feel confident educating clients on the latest evidence-based scientific research surrounding nutrition for total personal wellness.

Currently, I am the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Men and Women's rugby team as well as the Head Coach of the Men's developmental rugby program at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ.
